Overview
Domain AX is the official domain of the Aland Islands (Europe).

Aland Islands, an autonomous province of Finland, consisting of islands located in the northern Baltic Sea, at the entrance to the Gulf of Bothnia, on both sides of which are Sweden and Finland.

Only legal entities registered in the Aland Islands or resident individuals of the Aland Islands that reached the age of 15 may register domains in AX domain zone.

Individuals may register domain names consisting of personal names and last names (for example, maijavirtanen.ax and virtanenmaija.ax), only if such names and last names are their official first and last names.

In order to register a domain, companies should provide a company's registration number (business identity code or registration number) and individuals should provide their Finnish personal ID number.
