Domain BA is the official domain of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Eastern Europe).
Bosnia and Herzegovina is situated in south-eastern Europe, the Western Balkans. It is bordered on the north, west and south by Croatia, on the east and south-east Serbia and Montenegro.

NET.BA domain zone is reserved for Internet providers.
GOV.BA domain zone is provided for government authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
UNSA.BA domain zone is provided for departments, academies and other structural parts of the University of Sarajevo.
UNBI.BA domain zone is provided for departments and structural parts of the University of Bihać.
Limitations
The following companies and individuals may register domains in BA domain zone:
- local and foreign companies with permanent representatives on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina
- public and government organizations
- embassies and consulates certifies in Bosnia and Herzegovina
- international organizations with representatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina
- non-governmental organizations with head-offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina
- civil associations with head-offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina
- individuals of full legal age, which are the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina or reside on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina
In order to register a domain, companies should submit a standard application in writing on a company's letterhead signed by a company's official and sealed.
Together with such application, a copy of company registration certificate should be provided.
Individuals intending to register a domain should submit a standard application in writing with a registrant's signature.
Together with an application, a copy of any identification document with a picture should be provided (for example, ID card, passport, driver's license etc.). For foreign citizens residing on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a document confirming a registrant's right to legal residence in such country should also be provided.
A domain registration may be refused, if:
- inadequate data are provided
- a domain name coincides with a name of any general-purpose domain zone (COM, NET, BIZ, ORG etc.)
- a domain name obviously violates third-party rights (names of companies, trademarks, public officials etc.)
